Our research focuses exclusively on understanding the developmental journey of fragile X toddlers and children.  We chart different cognitive abilities such as attention, number, vision, and language from as early in development as possible in order to see how these abilities develop over time. Our overall goal is to highlight specific strengths and challenges that are unique to fragile X so that teachers and professionals such as speech therapists, child psychiatrists, and others can use this information to develop appropriate academic strategies and programs that can maximize a fragile X child's potential from infancy onwards.
